Kate\u0159ina is a founding partner of HARBER IP. Her professional expertise combines a background in scientific research with extensive experience in patent law. For six years, she worked at the Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals of the Czech Academy of Sciences, where she focused on the development of new catalysts for homogeneous and biphasic catalysis. She subsequently gained and developed her patent law and practice skills at the Association of Patent and Trademark Attorneys INVENTIA s.r.o.<\/p>\r\n

Kate\u0159ina completed a specialist programme in industrial property protection at the Institute of Industrial Property Education of the Industrial Property Office of the Czech Republic, followed by the Czech patent attorney examination and the European qualifying examination (EQE). She is also a graduate of the CEIPI Course on Patent Litigation in Europe and a registered representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC).<\/p>\r\n

Alongside her practice at HARBER IP, Kate\u0159ina is actively involved in professional education. She lectures at the Institute of Industrial Property Education and serves as a lecturer for CEIPI and the European Patent Institute (epi) in the field of European patent law. She co-authored the commentary on the Czech Patent Act and the published several articles on strategies for protecting industrial property rights.<\/p>\r\n

An important part of her professional activities is her work within the European Patent Institute (epi), the professional organisation of European patent attorneys. She represents the Czech Republic on its highest governing body, the epi Council, as well as on its professional committees, currently the Professional Education Committee. Since 2023, Kate\u0159ina has served as Vice-President of the epi.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
